Chipola Career Pathways Consortium

DESCRIPTION:

The Chipola Career Pathways Consortium held a summer workshop for all secondary Counselors and Career Specialists to introduce them to new Programs of Study concept and Perkins IV vision for career and Technical Education in the state of Florida.

Each secondary school in the 5 county service area signed up for 3 days in the fall semester for the Career Pathways Coordinator to make a site visit to help facilitate the development and implementation of Programs of study and Articulation Agreements with their school’s staff.

To date, the Chipola Career Pathways Consortium has helped develop 32 programs of study with many more to come as our “Road Trip” continues throughout the semester. Through this effort we are continually spreading the word about Career and Technical Education, dual enrollment opportunities and industry certifications to staff as well as students within our consortium.
